Prior to troubleshooting, if you have never connected to your Sphero Mini, first ensure that you are using a compatible device: Sphero Mini device compatibility.


If you're using a compatible device, double-check that your device has Bluetooth enabled -- if you're using an Android device, also enable Location Services. Our Sphero Mini robot utilizes Bluetooth 4.0 to create a connection to your device, so no pairing through the Bluetooth menu is necessary. Simply launch the Sphero Mini app and hold your device close to your robot and follow the on-screen instructions. Follow the link for more details on connecting to Sphero Mini.


If your connection issue persists, try the following steps: 

  1. Uninstall the Sphero Mini application
  2. Restart your device 
  3. Reinstall the app
  4. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled (Location Services too for Android users), and you have a strong WiFi connection
  5. Launch app with device close to your fully charged Sphero Mini
